This retirement home for an aging couple was developed on a modest budget with beautiful exposure to Gamble Bay to the west.  The residence is approximately 1,800sf with a dynamic great room space on the main floor with the woodstove as one of its central design features.  The stove is fed by a clever inside-outside wood drawer that prevents the owners from having to lug wood through the house.  The only bedroom is on the upper floor which features a large window bay and huge ridge skylight directly over the bed for evening stargazing.  The curved terrace on the water side of the residence provides and elegant extension to the great room spaces immediately adjacent.
