Architects own home built in the historic neighborhood of Fort Ward.  The house is designed around the foundation remains of a WAVS barracks building.  The design takes its exterior cues from the WWII vernacular buildings that remain in the historic district.  A contemporary take on a simple building form that allows for large glazing areas to fold neatly into a more traditional shell.
