Visiting the vineyard in early summer, we walked the length of the property along the foothills of the Rogue River, talking about the experience that we wanted to provide to future wine enthusiasts, we happened upon the perfect site for this tasting room. At the very top edge of the new vineyard there was spot from which one could take in the whole estate and yet it felt like you were close enough to the vineyard to pick your own grapes. The Kriselle Cellars tasting room is in a remote part to the Rogue River Valley so it needed to be a destination in order to be successful. The answer was this timber framed, open, airy wine temple with soaring wood beamed ceilings and large terraces that can be enjoyed all through the hot summers depending on the where the shade is. A commercial kitchen, exterior pizza kitchen, private tasting room, event lawn, winery offices and a tasting bar big enough to accommodate the anticipated wine-tour buses round out the program for this unique, southern Oregon destination.
